Conscious Consumer and Concepts
How much can we fill in the details of these terms that we often see or hear in today's products? Or how can we understand that these conditions are met in the products offered to us? These are very important issues in order to be a conscious consumer and to get what we pay for. Is "good faith" enough for these concepts? In this article, we will discuss these topics, especially from the perspective of the textile sector.
Organic or natural products are meaningless concepts on a mere "good faith" scale unless they are protected by a certificate or an authorized authority. Although being good faith makes sense to begin with, unfortunately these statements are not valid unless they are measured/controlled.
Certification is often a process led by organizations located in countries that are at an advanced level of social development. To give an example from the textile sector, the Fair Wear Foundation is an organization based in the Netherlands. These organizations operate in many countries around the world, and their management and rule sets are standard.
Do certified products have to be expensive?
Producers with certificates must comply with the principles of the relevant organization and are regularly inspected. Having certificates brings additional financial obligations to the producer companies. From fire exit lines to the control of the food provided by the business or from the cotton collected from the field to the dye and label of the product, all processes must be above a certain quality standard. For this reason, the operating costs and of course the product costs of the companies with the relevant qualifications exceed the standard products.
Is the consumer being deceived?
It would not be wrong to say that companies that apply the inspection and rule sets we have just mentioned and have the relevant certificate do not try to deceive consumers. At this point, when examining product prices, the price paid for the brand and the price paid for the product to reach a certain standard should be well separated. For this reason, it is very important to be a conscious consumer and to be able to correctly imagine the difference between good and bad.
Are houseofcais products reliable?
We do not sell any product whose manufacturer or content we do not know. This is a statement we can always stand behind. The reason why our product selection is authentic is that we offer for sale on our site the parts that we can reach the manufacturer directly or that we are sure about the quality, including our own experiences. We do not have all the certificates yet due to the heavy current operating expenses, but all of the manufacturing companies we work with are located abroad or are companies that produce products for the foreign market. Therefore, our answer to trust is quite clear. Of course, you can trust.
You can always contact us and ask any questions you may have about our product selection and quality. We will be happy to help you.
